2007 Church Survey Results

Pastor Search Committee — Wed, 01/30/2008 - 07:12

In December of 2007 the Search Committee compiled and distributed a Church Survey.  This survey surveyprovides two functions for the search process.  First, it helps us compile a list of traits and qualities that the congregation would like to see in a Pastor.  Second, the results of the survey are also shared with the denomination as well as potential pastors.  They use these results to get a feeling for our congregations unique traits.

The results from all the surveys have been tabulated, and I would like to take a moment to share some of the more interesting results with you.

96% of respondents at least Somewhat Agreed to the following:

  • Our church should be much more involved in the local community.
  • Our church should be focused on serving our members and people outside of our church family.
  • I feel like I am part of the church family.
  • Our church should focus on inviting people to our church.
  • Our church should teach a life of prayer.
  • Our church should encourage small group Bible study and prayer.
  • Our church should have a Christian education process that focuses on life-long learning.
  • My faith has grown over time.
